Sherry was last seen in Dale City, Virginia on September 5, 1980. She said she was going to an acquaintance’s house to get some of her belongings, and never returned. Weeks later, a family member got a collect phone call from her, thought to have been placed from Texas. She has not been heard since. Sherry has been known to hitchhike, sometimes for long distances. A missing persons case was not formally opened for her until 2021. Her disappearance remains unsolved.
