Missing Since: 2003-10-17 Location: Belle Fourche, South Dakota
Beverly was last seen at her home Belle Fourche, South Dakota on October 17, 2003. Her estranged husband, Steven Ulrich, said he heard a vehicle drive up and she went outside, returned quickly and told Steven she’d be back. She then left again and has never been heard from again. Her family reported her missing ten days later. Steven described his wife as a heavy drinker and said she might have been depressed at the time of her disappearance. She had a habit of taking unscheduled trips, but would always let people know where she was. She had been separated from Steven for twelve to eighteen months, but their parting was amicable and she regularly went to his house to clean, cook meals and spend time with their children. Photos of Steven are posted with this case summary. In December 2025, he was charged with first-degree murder and second-degree murder in Beverly’s case. Another man, Max Piekkola, was charged with accessory to felony in her presumed death. They are both awaiting trial. Little information has been released about the case against them, but Beverly’s body has not been found. Beverly has sixteen older siblings, three of whom died prior to her disappearance. Her brother and one of her eight children died in 2012. Foul play is suspected in her case due to the circumstances involved.
