Workman was last seen leaving the residence he shared with his parents in Lewistown, Pennsylvania to walk to a Sheetz gas station/convenience store a block from his home. On the day of his disappearance, a woman stopped by Workman’s house and spent some time with him, then they left together. They went to the end of the alley, then Workman returned, telling his mother that someone had been following them. Workman briefly went back inside the house, then left again, but not before asking his father if he wanted anything from Sheetz. He never returned. Workman’s parents went camping the next morning and didn’t realize their son was missing until April 30, when a neighbor called them, concerned because she hadn’t seen Workman’s dog out. Workman’s parents tried calling him and left messages, but he didn’t answer. The neighbor had a key, and one of Workman’s friends was sent inside the house and up to his room. Nothing appeared to have been touched and Workman’s house key was lying on his bed, which had not been slept in. Workman’s parents came home the next day and reported his disappearance to the police. Although he has had several prior arrests, Workman’s mother stated he had cleaned up his life by the time of his disappearance, gotten a job and was close to his teenage daughter. He still used drugs, howevr, and his mother believes his disappearance may have been drug-related. His case remains unsolved.
