Escalante was last seen in Las Cruces, New Mexico on August 21, 1989. She attended a party at 5th Street and West Picacho Avenue, then left at midnight with a male coworker and went to his apartment in the 700 block of west Las Cruces Avenue. Escalante apparently left the coworker’s apartment a short time later and ran in the direction of Pioneer Park. She has never been heard from again. Few details are available in her case.
