Schepke was last seen walking on Birchwood Drive near Morrill Road outside Rogers City, Michigan on November 10, 2013. This was near the Herman Vogler Conservation Area. He has never been heard from again and an extensive search turned up no indication of his whereabouts. At the time of his disappearance, Schepke lived with his sister and brother-in-law on Birchwood Drive. They stated his health had improved dramatically in the year and a half since he had moved in with them. He went for walks daily, but he would always return home within a few hours. He had not eaten very much prior to his walk on the day he went missing, and could have become sick. Little information is available as to Schepke’s fate.
