Shields was last seen at the home he shared with his mother in Carter Lake, Iowa on December 14, 1988. He was heard leaving at approximately 2:00 a.m. the next day. He was reported missing on December 16. He has never been heard from again. Shields left his pickup truck and all his belongings behind, and there hasn’t been any activity on his bank account since his disappearance. He worked at a fish market in Omaha, Nebraska in 1988.
