Hawkins was last seen near the Waffle House restaurant in the vicinity of Clairmont Road and Interstate 85 in Brookhaven, Georgia on August 23, 2021. He is known to have visited a Sunset Trust bank on Greenbriar Parkway in Atlanta, Georgia at 10:18 a.m. that day, and was photographed at the ATM. A witness subsequently claimed they saw Hawkins at a gas station, arguing with two black men who forced him to get into a black Chevrolet Suburban. Authorities have not been able to verify the witness’s claims, as they didn’t come forward until October 9. Hawkins’s red 2002 Ford F-150 with a White door was sighted on surveillance footage in the parking lot of Sam’s Club in the 2900 block of Clairmont Road in Chamblee, Georgiat at about 7:00 p.m. that day. There was no sign of him, but the truck’s keys were in the ignition, his phone was on the front seat and his other belongings were in the car. The truck was marked as abandoned and towed on August 28; a photo of it is posted with this case summary. The circumstances of Hawkins’s disappearance are unclear, but his family doesn’t think he would have abandoned them. His case remains unsolved.
